Evidence

Evidence before claims.

Historical experience informs the methodology. Future ONE AXIS projects build the corporate evidence base. Everything on this page is copied from the ONE AXIS Claims Registry with its denominators and caveats — nothing is retyped, rounded up or summed across stakeholders.

Evidence principle

The cases below are prior founder-led perioperative transformation programmes in a large private hospital. They are the experience from which the ONE AXIS method was built — and the reason the method insists on baselines, denominators and attribution discipline.

Elective bariatric surgery pathway

Usual care vs pathway implementation

226 elective bariatric patients: 94 under usual care and 132 after pathway implementation.

−16.4 %
Hospital variable cost per episode
R$ 18,855.07 → R$ 15,766.02 · BAR-005

No statistically significant increase in 30-day readmission or reoperation was reported. (BAR-006)

Contribution margin per episode was 34.7 % before and 33.0 % after implementation — no demonstrated increase. Payer cost fell more than hospital cost: value was created, and mostly captured by the payer. (BAR-007)

Design: before–after comparison; descriptive language ("following implementation"), not causal.

Elective hip arthroplasty pathway

Usual-care baseline (n = 45); pathway implementation with one surgical team (n ≈ 40); prospective registry (468 patients, three sites).

These figures are published under Founder approval as prior founder-led experience.

Realized, estimated, potential

REALIZEDObserved after an implemented change, with a reconstructable baseline and denominator.
ESTIMATEDModelled from evidence and explicit assumptions — labelled with confidence.
POTENTIALDependent on a future implementation or management decision. Never presented as a result.

How claims are governed

  • Every public numerical claim has a registry ID, an evidence source, a denominator and a caveat.
  • No material claim is approved by its author: a second reviewer signs; economic and causal claims add finance and methodology review.
  • Hospital value and payer value are reported separately and never summed. Released capacity is an operational result until a decision monetizes it.
  • Institutions are anonymized unless written permission exists. Historical founder-led programmes are described as prior experience, never as ONE AXIS client results.

Future ONE AXIS evidence

Each ONE AXIS engagement produces a value case with the five Deltas, attribution confidence and a sustainability assessment. Client cases will appear here only with client permission and GREEN claims — the same discipline we apply to our own history.
